Task 1 - The Music Industry
Representation of Music Artists - Task 1
Choose an artist to focus on and produce a piece of research about how this artist is represented by the media.
It is interesting to research an artist who has changed over time as there is a lot to say about how the media have changed the way they represent the artist. e.g. has it gone from positive representation to negative?
You can present you research in any of the following ways:
* An essay about how the artist was represented (using specific examples and occasions) and how they are represented now
* Pictures and annotations of different ways the artists have been represented on different occasions and at different events
* A single picture with some detailed bullet points about the way the media has represented the artist
* A selection of newspaper/magazine articles about the artist with your comments and opinions about each
Remember to state what your view is of the way the media have represented your particular artist
